BBS News launched in 2015 with a straightforward proposition: broadcast-quality journalism, delivered digitally, without the institutional inertia that slows down traditional news organisations. We are a team of experienced reporters, editors and producers who came from television, radio and print backgrounds and decided to build something new.

We cover the stories that matter — from Westminster to the wider world — with the rigour and depth that the subject demands. We do not chase clicks. We do not publish rumour as news. We correct our mistakes promptly and transparently.

Our editorial independence is protected by our ownership structure. We are not beholden to any political party, commercial interest or government. Our funding comes from advertising and reader contributions.
